Online Sales Continue Growing - Are Web Merchants Prepared?

Even with a slump in the economy, 2011 was a terrific year for retail eCommerce in the U.S. Online holiday sales were reported to be more than 15%, according to digital measurement firm comScore, Inc., with smaller merchants reporting strong numbers as well which only proves shoppers are increasing their eCommerce experience. According to Internet Retailer, web merchants are expected to increase their eCommerce staff by 54.6% in 2012 which, in an otherwise challenging environment for job growth, is good news and underscores the importance for today’s retailers to have a strong operational infrastructure in place to manage the expected eCommerce growth.
